App for mums-to-be from Dr Hilary Jones

Dr Hilary Jones, the nations favourite media GP has launched a new app that helped mums find everything that they need to know about being pregnant and the gorgeous baby, or babies, that they have growing inside them. The app, which is for the iPad and the iPhone gives the user exclusive access to 30 different scripts and videos that address all common concerns regarding conception, having a healthy pregnancy and delivery
The app does away with all the medical jargon and the videos are split into 5 different sections; early pregnancy, a week by week guide to what is going on with your baby, concerns, complications and the actual birth itself.
Each is then subdivided into topics including conception, nutrition, smoking and drinking, your body week by week, ultrasound scans, coping with common problems, pre-eclampsia, and pain relief in labour.
Dads have their own dedicated video to help cope with any nerves and apprehension, and enable them to share the magic, and support their partners.
A “Bump Log” uses the iPhone and iPad 2 cameras to the full by creating a photo diary of the growing baby bump. A built-in guide frames the mum-to-be consistently, then stores photos on the App and the camera roll. IPad 1 users can import photos independently.
The App is supported by Vitabiotics Pregnacare, the leading prenatal multivitamin for mums-to-be.
Dr Hilary has helped deliver many babies over the years, and seen them grow into healthy happy kids. He also has five children of his own, and has been through all the trials, tribulations, excitement – and worries – that expecting a baby entails.
He said: “With 700,000 babies born in the UK alone every year, the most common questions I get are about pregnancy and children. This App is designed to provide mums, partners, friends and relations, with easily understood, practical knowledge, to help them enjoy a happy and healthy pregnancy.”
The Dr Hilary Jones’ App is available via: http://www.drhilaryjones.co.uk/ or directly from the App Store.
